Domain name registration nowadays is both cheap and readily available. There are many domain name registration companies online today; here we recommend some of our favourites and cheapest places to register a domain name.

We think that it's important to register your own domain name as then you are in control of it. If for whatever reason you need to change web hosts you can always take your domain name with you, having your own domain name also gives your site a more professional image.

You can use any of the following companies for domain name registration, it's worth checking them all as they all run special offers from time to time.

	GoDaddy.com These are our prefered domain name registration service, the have a superb control panel for managing your domains and also provide great value for money, with their cheap prices. 	Yahoo As well as being one of the biggest search engines, Yahoo also offers hosting and cheap domain names. We've found their service good so far but the order process could be simpler IMO. Further info on Yahoo
	1 & 1 One of the largest hosting providers in Europe. To compliment their cheap hosting packages they also offer domain name registrations. In our experience their service is as good as any and they are often the cheapest for some TLDs, co.uk for example. You can find more information here
	The .tv Corporation We have never used this service but if you're after a .tv domain name this is the only registration service that we have found that provides .tv domain names.
